The short form is that the BBC had no less than six lawyers opposing an FOI request made by a Brit blogger for a list of the attendees at an Chatham Rules briefing for the BBC on climate change. There was some suspicion that the invitees included more than a few raving climate change Chicken Littles. The BBC fought disclosure of the names. And, at the cost of tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of pounds in legal fees, won a round last week.
Little wonder the BBC went to the wall to prevent the disclosure of the entirely one sided approach to climate change baked into this seminar.
